Great opportunity with a growing voice and data services company who is looking for someone experienced in cabling, traditional voice systems, and VOIP. Skills and prior experience to include troubleshooting, remote support, installations and field service.
As a Voice Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of service and installation progress and inventory usage. You will need to be familiar with structured cabling standards and be able to incorporate them into customer installations and ensure that installations comply with industry, manufacturer and company standards. You will have working knowledge of Cat 5/6 termination wiring standards and assembly for: 66 blocks, 110 blocks, RJ45 jacks, Coaxial and fiber-optic wiring as well as knowledge of color code when punching down voice or data lines as required.
The qualified candidate will need an understanding of voice systems in small business environments. NEC SL/SV experience preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must along with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced, service-oriented structure.
Technical skills are important however we realize training isn’t an event rather an ongoing process. Our on the job, manufacturer/partner, CBT and training center events occur on a regular basis. A passion for technology and customer service is required for any position at Tech II.
